In the Present Moment
By Micky Wolf
Taking a couple of days to relax with my beloved.
Savor the moment, each one a gift from God.
The tiny, translucent veins of a leaf.
Sunrays of gold caught in a blossom.
Glistening, crystal, droplets of dew.
Polished, striated browns and reds of a pebble.
Wisps and feathers of pale puffs, floating through a seamless topaz sky.
It is so much easier to be. In. The. Moment. When the moment is pleasing and peaceful.
The world around us overflows with beauty. And yet, the ‘perfect’ is impossible—in nature, and with us. The landscape of our life, inside and out, is a mixture of the lovely and the unlovely. God sees all of it. And loves us anyway, moment by moment.
