First off, there’s nothing wrong with using the brain and intellect God has given each of us. To be able to think is a gift and blessing, the key to opening the door to a multitude of life possibilities that are meaningful and important.
However, our good and gracious Creator God doesn’t want to stop there. For most of us, that means we have been gifted with even more blessings—at least 5 of them to be exact.
(Note: For maximum benefit of insight and revelation, you will need to use your brain to help you comprehend and appreciate these blessings.)
So let us begin by acknowledging how different—less vibrant and alive—our (personal) world would be without these fabulous 5.
Imagine if you could not see the face of your loved one, or the glow of the rising sun…
Imagine if you could not smell the deep red rose, or the fresh-baked cookies…
Imagine if you could not hear a child’s laughter, or the lilting notes of the bold, young chickadee…
Imagine if you could not taste a crisp, tart apple, or the sweetness of a plump, juicy grape…
Imagine if you could not touch the hand of your child, or the tear-splattered cheek of a parent or friend.
I encourage you now, in this moment, to see, smell, hear, taste or touch. Some thing. Or someone. And then, take another moment to whisper words of thanks to the Divine.
Be blessed—beyond your wildest imagination or dreams.
By the way, there is an image accompanying this post. You just can’t see it. Or hear it. Or taste, smell, or touch it.
