I have been writing in some manner or form most of my life. Writing notes in elementary school achieved a certain, somewhat painful notoriety. Having an article published - and getting paid for it at the age of 16 no less - may have been one of the best worst things to happen to me. This is so easy! I mused. Hah!
A couple of years as a copywriter in radio and direct mail advertising early in my career proved invaluable. A key lesson: less is often much better than more. Still working on that one.
Marriage, husband and two children were the focus for many years. Until I realized there will never be time to do what one really feels called to unless one stops doing all the other things that can so easily mute the whispers and stirrings beckoning from within the heart.
All of which opened up a whole new world of passionate living that seemed far too impractical and impossible in those days when striving to be perfect was the all consuming mantra. Now the choice is to take the time to listen and then act upon those quiet murmurings.
I'm now in the process of fine tuning and editing my novel.
